Help answer this question below.

I am renting my first apartment. They offered me the first 2 months free, but i don't have to fill out an application or credit check, and they said hand them $1050.00, and they will hand me the keys and i can move in next month. is this a scam?

    Not a scam necessarily, but not good business practice. Never rent without a lease - it protects you legally. Never pay in cash...ever. Pay either with a personal check or money order and get a receipt even if you pay with a check.

    My advice... find a different apartment.

    well be careful if they do no checks imagine who your neighbors could be drug dfealers, murders ect.. If you give them the money give them a check and get the agreement in writing in the lease to say you get 2 months free and that you have put down 1050 for deposit or deposit and 3rd months rent or whatever. just get it in writing and reciepts
