The red light is a good sign. That means your 5 volt stand by power supply is good and the microprocessor may be ok. There are allot of other things that could be bad that will keep your set from powering up.
RCA P46729BA big screen, chassis PTK169PCA, serial 337680405. Power supply has died twice & it's out again. Turned it off, won't turn on. Tried other outlets. The guy that fixed before no longer around and no one else will look at it.

added a xbox 360 to my panasonic tv model# CT-27D12DF, it was fine one night and the next day no sound from the tv any suggestion?

I have a 36" rca tv model f36650 it has a high pitch whine as soon as plugged in, i have read that it may be flyback or the HOT, or horizontal transistor NTE2324, does anyone have schematics or know which one is that cause??? thanks for any help

You're reading I have an RCA F36718 television and when I try to use the remote control to turn on the TV the power indicator light flashes but the set does not turn on. What could be wrong with the TV?
