In an ideal world, yes. But there is too much vanity, and jealousy and perverts. People would be angry that they don't look 20 anymore and be pissy that their chest is higher and doesn't need a bra anymore, or guys would get jealous of each others *%&$s and everyone would be talking about each other's plastic surgery scars- PLUS all the guys who would be walking around at half mast literally every second of the day... They'd die from lack of blood to the brain. Or people just groping for the sake of it. In an ideal world, HELL YES. But in THIS world, sadly, no. :(

I think that if public nudity were legalized, after a while people really woulnd't parade naked. I mean at first, it would probably chaotic and some people would take perverted advantage however in the long run, it would just not be a big deal. Just because people COULD parade naked doesn't mean they WOULD. My two cents.

Sure. But it never will be and most people probably wouldn't conform if it was. Mostly because of self confidance and jealousy issues, but also because clothes keep you warm.

NO! My experience has been the last person you wish to see in minimal clothing (shorts, tank tops, bathing suits etc.) are always the first people to wear them out in public. If nudity were legal.. Oy bad mental image.....

Absolutely. It would take a while to catch on with the masses, and it wouldn't have to, but it would be a choice, not a requirement. Eventually, it will be commonplace, it will be the norm, and just a non-issue. At the naturist resorts, people are nude without groping each other, without ogling, without fear or ridicule, and sexual acts in view of others is prohibited. As in any freedom, there are still boundaries. You are free to own a gun, you just have to be careful how you use it. You are free to own a car, just don't run someone over with it. You have free speech, just don't yell "Fire" in a movie theatre when there is no fire. You should be free to be naked in public, and just like every other freedom, don't abuse it.

Nah, there are some people that I really don't care to see naked and I imagine there are some people that don't want to see me naked. So I think this whole clothing thing works out nicely. =P I'm all for designated non clothing areas though. Nude beaches and what not. I'm curious as to why no one has invented a nude bar or night club yet.

I think our ideas of what is beautiful or attractive would change dramatically if that were to happen. It might be okay. After all a forest wall of green looks great. No one tree stands out. If everyone is naked the similarities of color might sort of soften the discrepancies between beautiful or not beautiful from standing out as much. I think it would be a huge hit to the world economy though. I might start investing in sunscreen stock!

No. Not everyone wants to look at naked people while doing everyday things. Can you imagine sitting in a restaurant and some guys hairy ass being two feet from you..suppose he drops something and bends over to pick it up? There are places designated for people who prefer to be nude in public...without the rest of us being subjected to it.

I think that there should be more tolerance of people who wish to be naked in a public environment. In Spain, public nudity is permitted but in public places only! So you could not walk into a supermarket if the owner was not sympathetic to you views on clothing. I think this would work in most societies... So what about people walking down a crowded street? Their own society would determine whether this is acceptable or not. In Germany and most Scandinavian countries, they would probably smile and walk on. In England, people would tut!! They would either not react, or the nude person would be made to feel completely unwelcome. In either event, society and not the law has made the decision... although individually you can deal with society.

No, I don't. I think that it would cause a lot more rapes. I mean, I've heard of women getting raped because of revealing clothing they have on-so I can imagine how much rape would be going on if people were walking around naked.

hmmmmm.......public nudity. Interesting. Im on the fence regarding this one. I've been to nudist resorts and let me tell you something. It's not all hot beautiful people playing volleyball. There are some people whose naked bodies should never see the light of day. There is just some imagery Im not prepared to admit I've seen. I think nudity is more of a personal choice and there needs to be limits. It's one thing if you want to go to a clothes optional resort and be with other naked minded people who share a similar lifestyle no problem. But just walking down the street without clothes on is probably not a good idea because of children for one. I dont think think the majority of people want to be exposed to that sort of thing.

Nope, I think it's best left the way it is. There are places where people can be naked and places where people can be clothed. Like in Ireland its cold and rainy an awful lot of the time so even if public nudity was made legal I'd imagine a lot of people would still wear clothes cause if they didn't they'd catch the flu. Plus theres paedophiles they would have more access to naked children and more stuff to put up on the internet. So all in all nope I don't think it should be legalized we have too many paedos and too much cold weather to be walking around in the nip. :)

Yes, public nudity should be leagalized. I became friends with a girl from Spain at school and we both worked in the book store. Over the 2007 Christmas holiday semester break I went home with her to Granada for a little over a week. On the beaches there it's clothing optional, actually nudity is legal anywhere in Spain, so we went to a section of beach where everybody was either topless or totally nude. Adults and kids in family groups, teenagers walking in the surf totally nude, a real culture shock for me but I soon adjusted and enjoyed this new freedom. The one thought that I could not get out of my mind was that, I am from the "Land Of The Free" the good ole' USA, but I had to go to Spain to experience this kind of harmless freedom. My hope is that someday soon we may get past our silly prudery and learn to enjoy life a little bit more.
