Most states will suspend your license until you get the ticket paid and pay re-instatement fees.
-
They will keep sending you notices in the mail that if you don't pay them within ex about of time that they will take away some of your assests to compensate. Better to pay it now before it's gets to be nasty.
-
a standing warrant would be sworn out against you which could result in jail time or heavier fines once you were caught and brought before a judge.

Your license will be suspended and you will be barred from getting a license in any other state. Should you decide to have your license reinstated, you'll have to pay the original ticket plus reinstatement fees and you'll have a record of the supension on your driving history. Pay the ticket, slow down on the roads.

They will eventually issue a warrant for your arrest. Also, the fine will keep going up, which you will have to pay when you get caught.

A computer will find and seek you out. small towns do not make a difference, anymore. all local laws can be state laws and the state will pickup the unpaid citation. an email will be sent to your states drivers license bureau and your license will be suspended. In some jurisdictions, the unpaid citation is a confession of guilt. once signed into a warrant, the citation is turned over to a collection agency. the agency can attach a lien on your house, your car, any assets you may have, until the citation is satisfied, Small towns, large towns....makes no difference.

None of the above is true...TN and a small amount of other states don't share traffic information. I have a ticket that is over 9 years old and nothing has happened. Since then I've passed through Customs in 8 different countries, moved to two other states and had NO problems getting my license in other states. I received letters for the first year and after 6 more I got ONE letter from a collections agency. I've been pulled over at least 10 times since that unpaid ticket in several states and never had anything mentioned to me about it. Once an unpaid ticket is the hands of a collection agency then legally the state cannot accept any funds for the offense. They would be unlawfully collecting money they have already sold. Now if you live in the state where you received the ticket then pay the ticket...if not, take your chances, you might be fine...
