Assuming that there is a God, accepting the mystery is all that can be done. God is very powerful and very wise, we are but simple minded creatures that have our limitations that are far lower than that of His. It's like an ant trying to understand us and our plans. However, there are those of us that have rejected the belief in God. There are many reasons of which I do not care to go into over and over but check them out on the Atheist pages.

There is no mystery in fact that God still, as from the beginning, desires to fellowship with his creation. Even when Man fell (in the garden) He (God) found the way to reconcile us to Him self. It was done at the cross when Jesus died in atonement for our sins. Through one Man – the whole world entered into sin, through on Man (Jesus) all mankind has made righteous. It does not mean that all Men will receive that free gift, but the ones that do will know it. Unfortunately, this very simple fact has been commercialized and turned into a big “religious” business, hence denominations and different religious paths. God can and desires to speak directly to us, no interpretive translation or representation is required. He’s plan for you is written in your heart, evidenced by Faith. It has been put there by God, so you would know His will for your life. However, it is left up to each one of us, to make the choice if we will hear and obey His voice. Good pleace to start is to announce God that you would like to know Him personally, and give your life over to Him. He will invariably draw you to your source of your personal salvation which is hidden in Jesus Christ. You need to read the New Testament (Bible). If what you read is not “staying” with you, don’t force it, it’s meaningless. Ask God again and again if you have to, to start reviling to you what you are reading. I don’t want to quote you the scripture to back all of what I said, because I am not sure how meaningful it would be for you at this time. Now this is a decent Question. Actually, it would seem by my experience that many people like or prefer the mystery surrounding "God"! I think that notion is actively promoted by many. I believe, however, in the Restored truths of the Gospel of Christ - the countless that have either been lost over 2000 years, or greatly become confused. The beauty as I know it is that God has called a Living prophet in this day of total confusion, through whom He has restored the many, many post truths. Speaking of which, one of the very first truths he learnt was that God the Father is literally a person, like you and I - a Glorified Immortal Being, but a Father in the very real sense of the word. He is not some mystical essence, nor is He somehow mysteriously joined to the Son as one inexplainable being. Each of them is as separate as you and I, yet as scripture declares they are 'one God' - meaning, each can speak for the other; they are in total understanding, perfect knowledge, purpose and love and agreement on all things. They are as one. The Holy Ghost remains a Spirit to this day, but when His work is finished, he too will one day, assume a glorified Body of flesh and bone as the Father. We have also learned our purpose for being here on this earth ... that we lived before this life in Heaven as spirits - before receiving this body as part of a plan for our progress and overall growth. God, 'our Father who art in Heaven, was literally the Father of our spirits, though Jesus is the only begotten of the Father in the flesh as well. This is but the most superficial surface of all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and the much that He will yet reveal to the interested, receptive and obedient. He is no mystery; He is our personal Father, just awaiting the call of His children.

we are on the eighty year plan. or how many years we live. we are born. we will die. we seem to be who we are when living as when we die. what we learn today can affect us in the next level. if we are dumb fucks in this life, then we can't expect revelation in the next level. are we a part of the big plan? some people are. We need to know the name of God, otherwise we may be following satan.
