  • most of them are like watching paint dry.big brothers just a human zoo. sick very sick. why dont they come up with something original
  • Yes, to me it's just mindless and pointless. There is nothing creative or informative about that kind of TV programming. It's a cheaper form of entertainment for the television industry and a big money maker, that's how reality shows came to be.
  • Oh yes i refuse to watch any of them its just mindless garbage.
  • Well, there was no way I was going to watch big brother this time, cheep telly. But Carol is going off on one about the cleaning again, and Ziggy well... er.. I guess I sort of got drawn in again :-(
  • I never watch them...I have enough reality without watching that level....
  • Never really got into them. I watched a few episodes og big Brother because it had some pretty ladies and Ron Jeremy and Tammy Faye, and was decidedly nuts. All of it is a waste of time and I can't remember any of the bit I did watch except for TF getting all crybaby because somebody got naked. The desert island stuff was stooopid, and none of it particularly entertaining to me. To answer the question: Yes.
  • I can't believe how many there are. It's ridiculous.
  • Yes. I'd like to see GRID IRONS to LEG IRONS featuring folks like OJ and Michael Vick.....
  • YES...YES...and YES!!! I am especially sick of this one show called, "Make me a model!" It takes these really young college aged kids and poses them in weird poses, not to mention, half-naked...just plain gross and exposing people. Meanwhile your children are flipping through the TV stations and they come across garbage like that...grrrr...
  • Yes. I am tired of it! Why not create more sitcoms and dramas.
  • Absolutely. You can see people in real life being mean to other people to gain priviledges and other compensations. Why watch it every day on TV?
  • most of them like survivor are just getting annoying now. stuff like big brother and all the ones on the much more music network (ie flava of love, hulk family time, scot biao is 45 and single) those are just all stupid and annoying 911 nanny can have it stupid moments too notice how many of those parents dont do anything? see what happens when we can't spank our kids anymore...
  • Like night said, there are what? Like 9 Big Brothers out now? Ridiculous! And I personally think American Idol is milking it...
  • I hated them from the beginning. They only serve to cash in on the greediest, most materialistic sides of human nature and make the contestants look like total morons. Rubbish tv.
  • I dislike them and thus choose to not watch them. If I did watch them, I'm sure my dislike would fester and blossom into all out rage.
  • Then you'd better brace yourself. If this writers strike doesn't get solved I'll bet we will be bombarded with a whole slew of them. Some of the new ones now are so bloody stupid. Case in point Moment of Truth (I think it's called) I couldn't take it after about 10 minutes and switched the station. I actually felt squirmish watching it - unbelievable that people would subject themselves to that on national TV.
  • The concept that started them wasn't a bad idea, but now every idiot and talentless fool want their fifteen minutes of fame thinking it will get them fame and fortune, plus there is just an over-saturation of them. Anything that becomes an overdose is no good,e specially talentless idiots in large doses.
  • Yes. None of them are reality. They just put certain types of people in stupid, dangerous, or silly situations to see what they do and call it reality. It is all set up. If not scripted they know basically what will happen. It is all about getting ratings, not being real.
  • I just wrote to Global TV Network informing them that we don't want reality shows, we don't watch them and our next step will be "to bite the bullet" watch the offending shows, write down the advertisers and contact the advertisers and let them know that we will NOT buy their products while they are supporting these stupid, inane "glorified game shows". Please pass this idea on if you think it has merit. Money talks. And if the advertisers are going to be hit in the wallet they might think twice about supporting reality shows. Enough is enough.
  • If Newton Minnow called TV a "vast wasteland" inthe '50's, what would he call this garbage heap today?
  • Hate is a strong word but I don't care for them and truly don't understand the mass appeal.
  • Yes, I can't stand them. These shows aren't real at all. All the "action" is so controlled and edited -- it's a joke. I'd much rather watch a documentary anyday ...
  • No, they're fun to watch. You don't have to think.
  • I do not like them, rather mindless. I do not like the contrived angst.
  • I hate them too. It makes me cringe to watch people being publicly humiliated...lol. I don't know how anyone can find this entertaining, but apparently many people do.
  • Ughhh, yes. I don't watch much TV, but just the ads for those types of shows make me cringe.
  • Absolutely.
  • Yes. But would you watch if Pee Wee Herman had one?
  • I hate the fact that they are called "reality" shows, when in my estimation, there is really no such thing. Once someone realizes they're on camera, all objectivity goes out the window. Reality shows are so prevalent nowadays because they are cheaply produced (no writers, minimal overhead aside from camera crews and editing/post production costs). The super-saturation of reality TV makes me a little ill, as I feel it has contributed to the declining quality of television in the last 15 years or so. Having said that, I still indulge in a few guilty pleasures of reality TV. Most notably, "COPS", and "Cheaters". I think as long as you take it with a grain of salt, it can be very entertaining.
  • Ya, I just don't watch them. I'm also sick of going to the travel channel and seeing a bunch of people sitting at a table playing poker. How is that "travel"?
  • Not at all. I have not been watching one for ages...
  • Not sick of SEEING them as I don't watch, but I would like them to be replaced with something for people with an IQ above 50
  • I do, but I watch some of them, and I get mad at myself for watching them. I can't wait until they dissolve...
  • REALITY BITES!!!!!Obviously the "experts" who said the genre was dead five years ago were WRONG!!!!
  • Not me, because i don't watch them at all! If I want reality I just walk out the door and experience it.
  • I do hate them and am sick every time I hear of a new one coming out. However, there are a few that I don't mind, like COPS, Survivor Man and Man vs. Wild. Sorry..
  • I don't mind them but I miss all the shows with stories, mysteries, drama ---that require actual writers and directors with themes and artistic merit.
  • Not all, but some are just pushing the edge of stupidity and idiotism. They are SO annoying and useless! Waste of TV time. They strongly contribute to the dumbing of the world.
  • No, they are better than The Desperate Housewives.
  • No, but that's mostly because I haven't been watching any.
  • Absolutely, they seem to dominate tv at the moment.
