That has actually happened before. They were known as AB-Wikibots. One of these Wikibots was assisting questions on Geography and its terms. However, it has been concluded that it wasn't working out, so they had to discard them. http://www.answerbag.com/profile/?id=146064 In another case, there was a AB-Answerbot that was able to help with other cases of questions.
