It is NOT fun. Mine got infected and was ugly for weeks. Funnily enough I was stapling paper at the time - what else could you possibly be doing when this injury occurs?

I accidentally pricked my finger with a fish hook once. It would probably hurt a little more than that. Which didn't hurt that bad.

I stapled my finger about an hour and a half ago. I'd been throwing staples at my classmates out of sheer boredom, and they were ignoring me, so I decided to inspect the stapler. Holding my fingers away from the stapler's exit I pushed gently on the top which suddenly gave way. The staple shot out and into the side of the index finger of my right hand. My first thought was 'where's the staple gone?' before I realised it was in my finger still. I pulled it out, it bled slightly, but not lots. I still have the entrance and exit wounds.

I did it 2day. Used a staple gun and just missed the bone but if u stay calm and not concentrate on the pain then it doesn't hurt all that bad, mayb a 3 or 4 out of 10.
But it feels like wen u stay outside for 2 long in the cold and your fingers numb but wen u heat them up u get a kind of tingleing sensation. But not severe

Yes, on December 19, 2007, acting stupid. Had to go to the doctor - it was a fairly severe staple. That Christmas someone got me a staple remover.

My son was playing with a stapler today and stapled his fingers together. The staple went through his middle finger and fingernail into his pointer finger. I reached up and pulled the staple back through. It was pretty gross.

This happened when I was a kid to someone I knew. He worked in a factory putting cardboard boxes together and, one day, he put his hand under the machine and it stapled one of those giant, commercial staples right thru it. I saw it and, man, the bleeding was non stop. They had to take him to the emergency room and he had his hand in bandages for a long time

I just did that this morning. Boy did that hurt. It's still throbbing! Needless to say, I did the "dance of pain." My dog had to come over to see what I was cursing about. LOL What an idiot! Next time my stapler jams I'm giving it to my husband to fix. LOL

I stapled my finger when I was 9 I believe and I barely felt it. I was moving a stapler and I grabbed it in the wrong spot and some how made it staple. It went right in my middle nockle (knockle?) either way I was suprised and just stared at it for awhile and then I removed it.

I got a staple in my finger while I was trying to refill it. My boss made me leave work and go to a doctor. I thought it was silly, but after reading what hairwatcher had to say I'm glad she did.

it really hurt for the first hour, but afterwards you can't put pressure on it for a long time.wait for it to heal completely.but depending on how deep, you can still do normal tasks like computers and gaming.also,if alot of blood comes out after removal, don't panic.unless you're a diabetic.

    It felt like 'aarghfeckinfeckinfeck'"

Why the feck did I think it would be a good idea to try and staple gun a cat toy to a wall anyway.

My Dad has done it twice when stapling mattreses, only the second time he hit the bone. He's on antibiotics because it hit the bone. It was horrible both times although it didn't bleed. The staples were huge, but he said you hardly feel it except in tingles when it happens. oh well leats it's not as bad as splitting his head open, falling and setting himself on fire at work, ;)

I have stapled my finger (putting a poster up in my room) not so bad as the sewing needle, stepping on a light bulb or thumb tacks in my feet (yes, I'm accident prone :))

    2 times on accedent.
    lol
But yeah it does throb for like 5 minutes but afterwords just goes away.
Well that is unless it gets infected.
Mine have not gotten infected yet.
I will keep my fingers crossed.

I was cleaning a staple jam when I stapled my right hand's middle finger. I thought the job was done and was about to try it out when, as I was lowering the stapler to the paper, I accidentally pressed it and--BANG! The stapler fired with the only nearby target being my finger. The immediate feeling was a tingly sensation similar to that felt when fingers fall asleep . Without hesitation I gently eased the staple out the finger. Huge beads of blood formed at the wound and my finger began to burn and throb. I knew that the prudent thing to do was to clean the wound to prevent an infection so I doused it with alcohol, applied neosporin, and dressed it with a bandage. The wound throbbed for a good five minutes but now it feels okay. Did I learn a lesson from all this? Not really... only that I now know what paper must feel when it gets stapled. :P
