I agree with you , and I think it's all part of the show to get a attitude like that - All set-up I think + 5

I've seen episodes where the fashion victim followed the rules from the outset. Stacy and Clinton seemed very relieved. I think a lot of the conflict comes from the fact that it's easy to say you're going to change, but it's much harder to actually do it. Cognitively, they know that they look awful, but it's still really hard to leave that comfort zone. I think half of the show ends up being psychotherapy for self-esteem issues. When I wear something out of my ordinary, I feel very self-conscious. No matter how many people tell me I look fabulous, I still feel kind of exposed and awkward.

I don't know...and I don't know why people would go on such shows in the first place. How someone dresses should be up to that person entirely. I have seen segments on shows where two women will approach someone in a mall and offer that person a "makeover"..I would find that very insulting. The odd thing is that the two women who do the approaching looked like cra* to me..so what makes them think I'm going to listen to them when they look like rejects from the salvation army? Outward beauty is so subjective..what's "in" and what's "hot" and what's "cool"..according to whom? :)

Sometimes the presenters of these shows don't have very good taste in fashions themselves so I wouldn't always believe what they say.
