  • Never done one in a Blazer but the one time I changed out my own alternator was pretty easy.
  • It really depends on how easy it is to access. The procedure itself is pretty easy. However, I know on some vehicles there's a shroud and the belts are visibly but not accessible from the top. It may require dismantling the front of your truck, or it may be as simply as loosening the belt tensioner, replacing the alternator, and tightening the belt back up. Driven blazers but never looked under the hood.
  • It couldnt be easier! its right on top of the motor. Take off the belt, then there should be three bolts holding it onto the bracket. Then remove the one wire and your done. (The hardest part is getting the belt on/off. but thats real easy too)
  • A professional can swap one out in around 15 min. Someone with some mechanical skills can do it with no problem.
