Help answer this question below.

I have only been taking the pill for 3 months. this month i have missed about 3 pills. 1 was in the 2nd week and i had unprotected sex earlier that day. i have also missed the last 2 days what is the chances of me getting pregnant?

    If not this time, which is a possibility, the chances of you getting pregnant are extremely high. If you're going to play grown-up, you need to act more responsibly. Contraceptives only work if you use them properly and the pill does not prevent you from contracting a possibly likfelong or deadly STD. And both pregnancy or and STD will change your life. Is that worth 15 minutes of fun?

    If you miss taking your contraceptive pill on any day you do run a risk of becoming pregnant. Similarly, the pill does not work if you are sick or if you are taking anti-biotics. The only way to be sure is to take a pregnancy test.

    If you miss even one pill out of your pill pack, it is possible that you will ovulate and become pregnant...The pill manufacturers recommend that if you miss three pills in a pack, you should discontinue the pack and use a back up method of birth control until it is time for your next pill pack. If you missed the three pills around the time you had sex in the second week, your chances of becoming pregnant are higher since is around the time that ovulation typically occurs. I can't give you a percentage number for pregnancy in your case, but if your period is late next month, I would recommend taking a pregnancy test. If it turns out that you are not pregnant, you should consider a different form of birth control such as Nuva Ring, or the depo shot since these offer the same protection as pills without the hassle of having to remember to take a pill every day.
