The local junk yard might be a good place to start. If you want to avoid the trip to the junk yard, you can search online. Two sites I sometimes use are www.rockauto.com, or www.car-part.com. There are many sites that offer used auto parts for sale and if you really want to spend some money you can buy a brand new transmission, but really, you can find a good used one that will give you years of good service for so much less costs.
You might also look at some of the "forums" online, for Ford Taurus owners.
I would try http://www.GotTransmissions.com, LKQ, or Greenleaf.

My '03 Taurus speedometer moves when stopped, will jerk and have instrument panel light up and might cut off while in gear. Suggestions?

My 2002 Ford Taurus dies when I take my foot off of the pedal. It starts but dies when I put it in gear.
