I recently dyed my hair dark brown but it ended up coming out almost black. How can I change my hair to a lighter shade of brown without using chemicals?

Shampoo hair first, and do not condition hair. buy about three or four whole lemons, and put them in hot water for about 4-5 minutes. then put them on a flat surface and roll them with the palm of your hand ( you are trying to get as much of the juice from the lemon as possible) then place them back into the hot water for another 4-5 minutes. remove lemons from the hot water, and let cool untill warm to the touch. after that cut the lemons in half, and squeeze the juice into a cup, bowl or tint bottle. part hair into four sections, and starting in the back, pour lemon juice onto the hair until all four sections have lemon juice on them. after you have done that, put a plastic cap over the hair, and stand in the sun for faster results, or as close to a light source as possible. do not leave lemon juice on your hair for more than 20 minutes at a time. shampoo, then condition hair, and style as you normally do. you might need to repeat this process a few times, but it does work.
