Fixing to be. Too bad you never got an answer. That is very discouraging. Do you have anything to add since your question 2 years ago?

Sure. Our Neighborhood Association has had land taken by the City for widening roads several times. Each time they paid a fair amount for land which we had to maintain and never received a dime of income from. I know farmers who have had land taken for roads. They usually get a fair price.
