Sometimes I do...if they are long. They are very soft, so if I don't get them out of the way, they get caught and break painfully.

Yes I do right now. I guess it's the stress of this week. Half my nails are gone. I had stopped for years but on occasion it happens. I'm sure when I'm feeling better it will end and I'll be okay again.

I am a reformed nail biter so I try to file them before I get my teeth near them. But I don't use the clippers on my hands, only toenails, as it leaves too rough an edge and I might be tempted to chew it off.

All the time. It's not like I don't want nice finger nails and it's not like I don't want to stop, but the fact of the matter is, I can't help it. Most of the time it is a completely unconscious process now, I have no idea that I'm doing it. And when I am aware of it, it's like I can't help myself, I know I shouldn't and I don't want to, but I do it anyway. It's like a mild compulsion (I have stopped myself a couple of times).

I used to, until about ten years ago. I was having a nibble, and suddenly thought "it's about time I stopped doing this" So I stopped and have never bitten them since. My nails have never looked better.

In the past, I have cut them and washed them and then bitten them afterwards. I haven't bitten them for a while now though.

I clip them sometimes but as long as they're pretty clean/ as long as they seem it, I prefer biting 'em. Look nicer and are just nicer all round
