I just installed a new fuel pump in my '98 Chevy Blazer. The engine will fire and run well if I prime the single-port injector. However, when I turn the key over the engine just cranks and cranks and cranks.

You may have a TB problem where it is not choking the engine properly for ignition. Replace the unit and see if that fixes the problem. Another option is to get an OBD scan done (free at auto parts stores in the US) and see if a TC pops up. -
