People should be allowed to wear what they want. I think women/girls/men look fine without it. In fact, I tend to be attracted to girls who don't wear any and are quite vocal about it.

I actually did a survey myself about 3 weeks ago on another site. Hands down the guys answered with a preference for either no makeup or very little makeup. I got such comments as, "I prefer the girl-next-door look" and "I'm afraid of clowns!" So, the survey SAYS~~~~~~~a-la-naturale!

i think makeup can enhance natural beauty. and i think the punk rock look is super hot on some chicks.

If the paint job looks good but the car doesn't move at all, is it still a car or a wreck in disguise? Hands down, no or minimal makeup. It projects a aura of security, confidence and being at ease with how a woman thinks of herself.

My girl does not wear it. :-) and thats how I prefer girls I noticed. Halloween is not all year where you can paint your face.

I think there needs to be a females opinion here I admit that I find it very hard to open the door when i'm not wearing any make-up, but I don't go for the plastered-on look. I love having dark eyes but don't wear much else other than eyeliner, eyeshadow nd mascara. It should be totally the individuals decision- it says alot about the person... I wear it because I like looking funky and I would prefer people looked into my eyes than *ahem* elsewhere. And you don't have to always be insecure to wear it, I am a firm believer that it 'enhances' rather than 'covers'. I just hope that other girls out there stand up for the right to look how they want, and not care whether men 'like' it or not!! Gud Q, btw. =)

I used to think I hated make up. My sister told me that the idea was to put it on in such a way that no one noticed but I thought that idea was stupid. My first girlfriend never wore makeup because she never learnt how. She was a natural beauty anyway. Then one day she looked absolutely stunning and I knew that she must be wearing make up even though I couldn't see it. Her sister had put it on for her. So yes, in theory I hate make up, I certainly don't like war paint, but the reality is that my sister was right and when it's applied properly us blokes don't realize it, hence we think we hate make-up when the reality is that we might only hate it when we notice it and like it when it's done properly.

well being a girl myself, i believe make up CAN enhance your looks.. if used correctly.. i mean, not plastered on. I like subtle make-up

I've found most of the men I've talked to about this claim they like none or very little makeup and never those big bright red lips.

i wish i could wear no makeup...but i have terrible skin. i'd rather appear painted and over-the-top than show how my face really looks. from experience, i think my makeupped face attracts lechers and sleazy guys. so no makeup definitely attracts the better sort.

well im a girl and i think that make up boosts our self esteem and that if we wear it for that reason then let us be... i hate the way some guys wear tight shirts to show off muscle its stupid... i guess they think make up is stupid too... i think we should be our selves and wear and do what ever we want with out getting critisized!!!

Yeah...Really you can do your own experiment here. Go out with make-up one night, with out the next. Then you let me know. Honestly, I think half the guys on here don't know what they're talking about. I put a ton of make-up on, yet my boyfriend came over one day and was surprised I even wore any. He never noticed...It's all about how you put it on...Don't make it a mask...Just make it enhance your features. If you have amazing eyes, add a little eyeliner and mascara to really make them pop. Awesome lips? A little lip gloss...You get the point=)

I'm a female and I don't wear any makeup. I love the way I look and I know a lot of other females can't even leave their houses without all that crap on their faces. I'm against it.

I think in theory guys like to think they prefer natural. But i know alot of men whom have girlfriends, who wears LOTS of obvious makeup, really heavy makeup and look stunning...but its crystal clear they are painted in makeup. Men dont see to care, if the girl is hot shes hot...with or without makeup dont matter.

I'm not a guy, but I can answer that for you. Minimal makeup. The guys who say no makeup usually like very little makeup. Most of us don't look good without some on. But some makeup gives the illusion of a good complexion. I like minimal makeup, myself. I usually just wear some blush, lip balm, and concealer (under eyes). *points to avatar*

If a girl looks beautiful with absolutely no make-up, then she is one to be jealous of. - but how many girls do you know like that? then again most of the guys say the prefer us with no make up - but then how come all of the "hot chicks" in the films wear so much of it, & the "nerdy girls" wear none? Hmm, very confusing.

From personal experience, I think guys prefere makeup which looks like you're not wearing any/wearing very little, but acctualy takes ages to apply. Most of the time if they see girls like that, they assume she's not wearing any, and look like that naturally. Concealer, light foundation, mascara, sheer lippie etc

Whatever makes the woman look and feel her best. Less is more though.

sorry i am a girl and i am going to anwer this. It does not matter what the guy likes its what she likes. If you like a girl that doesnt wear makeup date her if you like a girl that does date her. dont let that be a deciding factor in a relatinship with someone. She has to be comfortable with herself, that is most important right.

Make up is fine for a night out, and okay in small doses for everyday work etc., but overall I am not a big make up guy, I think women should focus more on their natural attributes instead of covering up flaws.

Just a little, but don't over do it. I also like the morning no makeup look, at least on my g/f. I think women worry about their appearance way too much

If you're one of the lucky gals with natural face beauty, nothing irks a guy more when too much make up ruins it. Get your best beau to offer you an opinion and try going without or less to see how you like it. Less is in now.

I really think it depends on the girl. I've seen a good number of girls with and without makeup; some look better with it, some look better without it. There's nothing wrong with accentuating your features and emphasizing the good points while minimizing some flaws. You just need to know the difference and wear what works for you. Some girls don't know how to wear it, but then again everyone has their own style. My main 2 makeup necessities are eye liner/shadow and lip gloss/stick. Depending where I'm going/who I'm gonna be around, I suit it to the occasion. I love wearing darker eye makeup (not like a raccoon lol but eyes lined in black or blue with a dusting of shadow on the lid) and sometimes red lipstick (one that suits my skin tone). It looks classy on me (and many people have said that to me) because I have a Snow White look; black hair, creamy skin. In more casual settings I may just have a little eye liner and a light pink/peach lip gloss. Overall, I just think that if you're gonna wear makeup, choose what's right for YOU, not just what you see in magazines or what celebs are wearing. Base it on your skin tone, hair color, facial features/shapes, etc. I really only think makeup looks 'bad' when girls cake it on so much that it's obvious there are layers sitting on her face, and when she applies it to the wrong areas.
