I don't know a lot about Sculptors, but just by watching Michaelangelo's David and "La Pieta"....who could ask for anything better? Michaelangelo is my favorite one!
-
My favourite sculptor is Mother Nature. I love the works of Michaelangelo and Rodin, but my favourite human sculptor is César Manrique because of his huge influence on the island where I live and the sheer scale and boldness of his sculptures.
-
Ernst Barlach. I studied German at High school and read a short story based on one of his statues: Der Lesende Klosterschueler (the reading student monk). It represented, to Nazism, freedom of thought,(as the boy is not looking at his book but at something else beyond him), and so, like many of Barlach's works, was banned. Some were melted down. It represents freedom.

Catherine Hearse. She is my favourite because her work is cleverly crafted, funny, poignant and true. She is alive and well, and a true artist.
-
One of my favorite sculptors is Andy Goldsworthy. He uses nature as his medium. Because his work is ephemeral, he then photographs it.
-
My favorite living sculptor is Tony Cragg. He is one of the most productive and diverse artists I know. The greatest sculptor in history was Michelangelo.
-
June LaVonne is my favorite sculptor because it is me

mccarey go look at a southwest art magazine and he usually has a full page of his work, no need to say why, self-explanatory. totally amazing!!

Thomas Doyle- his mini "experiences" are very impressive. One thing in the art world that is frequently said is- "if you can't make it good, make it big." Doyle obviously is so good he can make it really tiny :) other than Doyle Alexander Calder, come ooooon he's a classic. ;)

Rodin, they just speak to me.
