  • The resolution / refresh rate may be set too high. The monitor may be broken. The monitor data cable may have breaks. The graphics card may be damaged. Suggestions: Try booting to safe mode Check BIOS and make sure it is specifying the correct slot / interface type (AGP/PCI) for video card and turn off all video shadow caching or ghosting (exact terms may vary) Try plugging a different monitor into this video card Try plugging this monitor into a different computer or video card Try throwing monitor AND computer out 10th story window
  • The person asking the question doesn't indicate if this is a permanent condition or something that happens from time to time. If this error is seen only for brief periods and cures itself after a second or two, it could simply be the video card switching modes. Such a thing often happens at the start of a computer game or during the boot process. My monitor shows a similar message at these times and it is perfectly normal.
  • Folow the signal cable back to the computer. Make sure it's hooked up okay. If so then your vidio driver in the computer is bad. Good luck
