"lady fuschia: what about the men?"
I don't know of any specific directions stating that men are not to wear makeup.
Of coarse they are! That's a silly question? Are Baptists or Lutheren women allowed to wear make-up? Isn't a strange question? I am LDS and I am a hairdesigner and make-up artist. I have actually given classes to the womens organization of the church on hair and makeup. Yes I will agree that there are some women out there that think "L-natural" is the way to be and that's their choice. Personally I think if there is no allergy problems, than almost every women needs a bit of tweeking! Seriously... even an old barn looks better with a little paint on it!!! To do nothing about enhancing your appearance is laziness! If you don't take care of yourself... the lady down the street will!! Think about it!
Allowed? Sure. Do they? Well, that’s a matter of personal preference, but most I know do.
Only if their Elder permits it.
is that a serious question? just look at Marie Osmond; with all the caked up makeup she wears is enough for the whole mormon population! Hot? she looks rediculous wearing clothes that are way younger that her age; but then again shelikes the attention; she looks like an old whore!
"Mormon" women are allowed to wear make-up.
I saw Marie Osmond on tv a few weeks ago wearing a figure hugging dress and high heels and she looked hot. And yes she was wearing make up.
Yup, my Mom used to sell Avon.

If someone comes to your door to try and sell their religion to you, do you shut the door in their face or go to the toilet? Or both?

Both men and women are discouraged from wearing tattoos. We do not desecrate our bodies, they are temples.

Doctrinally I don't think there is anything against men wearing makeup, there is against men cross-dressing but not all make-up is made for women these days there are male cosmetics. Still if I started wearing make-up my friends would never let me live it down (because I live in America not because I'm Mormon).
