Help answer this question below.
None. Removing ANYTHING from the internet is a violation of freedom of speech. As soon as you start removing stuff, those in charge of censorship will get out of hand and start making bad decisions.
I don't care how gross, rude, or offensive something is. If you don't like it, don't view it.
Sites that promote racial/ethnic/sexually orientation based/etc hate.
None. Censorship doesn't work in the internet, it only gets Wikipedia blacklisted and makes people stupid.
Interesting question, but banning anything from the internet would be a mistake. First of all, who would make that decision? How do you know they would make good decisions? I don't know any two people who feel EXACTLY the same way about what should or should not be censored - it's a very subjective decsion. I don't want somebody else telling me what I can and can't investigate on the internet.
Remember, we are ALL RESPONSIBLE for our OWN FEELINGS. If somebody is offended by something, they're CHOOSING to be offended.
Nobody is going to FORCE someone to look at something they don't like.
Given that the internet is a world-wide thing, and that there are many different cultures here on Spaceship Earth, you cannot ban any site merely because you find the content objectionable... unless you are a repressive regime.
Even things that most people find objectionable (like child pornography) are legal and socially acceptable in some places. While you can prohibit people from accessing those sites (like China does with anything referring to democracy) you CANNOT remove them from the internet entirely.
If you do allow stuff to be removed from the 'net then tell me this; who decides what to axe? Who sets the standards? Most of the world in non-American, and non-Christian, so if you attempt to claim that it should be done by morality then you *WILL* lose in most cases.
However, any site that installs malware on your computer actually causes damage in the form of lost data and/or damaged hardware. It's one thing to present stuff that you have to seek out and are allowed to just close the browser and be done with, but it's another to inflict harm on someone or damage their property.

Child porn sites. I can tolerate just about anything else.
sites that promote & encourage people to have eating disorders. People can lean how to have & hide eating disorders by looking at these sites.
Only sites that download viruses/spyware/malware/etc. should be banned.
If a site shows objectionable or gross material; well, that's just using freedom of expression. Just close the browser tab and don't visit there again.
But actually causing harm to a visitor's computer is a different story.
Nothing other than Cockroach racing websites, where I lost a bundle.
child porn
no others
None. Don't like what's on the site then don't go there. You won't see it if you don't search for the site.
Anything that panders to dangerous psychopaths like child pornography, sex slavery, snuff films. The nice stuff.
I agree that censorship is bad...but I don't think it would hurt to remove rotten.com from the face of the earth. It's awful.
beasttube.com
my friend showed me that site and i think what they do to those animals is wrong.
Myspace is the only one I can think of at the moment.
You can't ban a site from the internet really. It's not really feasible. Much as there are many things that the majority of the world is against, there are still places that accept it, like jerv said.
However, I feel that sites that give out pirated software/music/movies, etc., should be closed down when possible. As far as I know, stealing isn't legal in ANY country where they would care about the internet.
I also hope that the pro-piracy people are mature enough to not downrate me for expressing my opinion.
banned.com because it is already banned.
Of course I have never gone there and this is only an attempt at humor. I'm not even sure what kind of content it has so this will be a learning experience for us all.

For me, it should be porn sites and sites that contains malicious viruses.
Porn should be banned from everywhere. The people that say don't go there, are overlooking the fact innocent young people can and will access these sites. I am not a prude by any means but the people who promote this stuff are sick and do not care who it harms. Yes I said harms! Watching porn perverts ones mind in a very short amount of time. I am tired of society basing everything on sex, and dragging it's moral fiber into the dirt.
Why would you want to ban anything?
answers.yahoo.com - yet the worst site I've ever seen.
rate.ee - a site that messes with young peoples minds, makes them waste money on bullshits, that site is very sick.

Everything else should be left alone. That should suffice for those worried about growing censorship. Just porn. That's it!
All pornography sites
Personal opinions aside. I would have to say none. Personal opinion included...Child Porn, Hate sites (Anything that seeks to exclude or harm someone for sexual orientation, Ethnicity, Religious beliefs, Racial differences...etc.). Anything to do with Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears,or the rest of the Non-interesting 15 min. celebs. Boring!
None whatsoever!
While it's arguable that sites that promote hatred, or malware, etc. should be banned, but once you start to ban things you've created an authority that has the power to arbitrarily ban anything it decides to label "hate," such as a political party that it disagrees with or a reliigous group it doesn't like, etc.
So no, the best assurance of dispelling hate, malware, etc., is to allow all speech without exception, and let the truth be revealed by active public debate and discussion.
Any website that has pornographic in it. Website like these bear a great amount of sin and evilness. Some of these websites are free to use and teens that watch this might attempt to do this in their adulthood, which can lead to serious amount of trouble.

Funny that the same folks who advocate hands off policies for business are the same ones who are eager to regulate the internet, books, print and movies.

CHILD PORN. SNUFF SITES. And do not even think about replying okay? I don't want to here some numb nut defending this.

Sharona. People dont have to go on those sites and since child pornography is illegal I don't think many people can legally make a website like that anyways. Nobody is defending it. EL 1 2 can reply if he wants to. You open your mouth like he is defending that shit and you can't stand to hear him reply to it. Shut up and let him have an opinion.

Obviously, Sharona doesn't believe in freedom of speech...

Therefore, we can appoint ourselves _Official Guardians of Free Speech_ and censor her comment (because it's anti-free speech) and feel no remorse for doing so :-)
