I have noticed thet white bread is cheaper to buy than lets say wheat bread. I have no idea why it's cheaper. Isn't white bread bread that has been bleached to make it look white. I do notice there is a difference in taste from white bread and wheat bread. I prefer white bread, but have been told that wheat bread is healthier to eat. I am not sure what you mean by brown bread in the question above. I don't see colors so are you saying wheat bread is brown or do you mean something else. I know you can buy brown bread in cans. Maybe white bread takes less ingredients to make it or the ingredients in white bread may be easier to produce so they can charge a cheaper price on white bread.

Brown bread is un-processed, it generally contains the husk of the wheat and therefore more fibre and nutrients making it much healthier than white bread which has these removed for aesthetic purposes. This then begs the question if it takes more time and energy to remove these things to make the bread white, why is white cheaper, shouldn't it cost more?
