  • Go to Start - Control Panel - Appearance and Themes - Change the Computer's Theme - (Or just right-click on the desktop and choose "Properties") Select the "Appearance" tab - There are three drop-down menus: Change the bottom one to "Large" or "Extra Large" fonts - Click apply - Click OK - Your fonts are large. For the icons, I'm not sure exactly how you make the desktop icons large, but you can enlarge the icons that are pinned to the start menu. Click Start - Right Click on "All Programs" (Or just Right click on "Start") - Choose "Properties" - If you haven't already, switch to the "Start Menu" tab - You'll see a "Customize" button to the right of the start menu type you have on your computer - If the top customize button is [more] visible, read A. If it's the bottom one, read B. If you wish to change your start menu type, do so by clicking on the little circle to the left of the option, and then refer to the instructions below: A - Click on "Customize" - Choose an icon size by clicking on the little circle to the right of the size you'd like (Large Icons or Small Icons) - Click APPLY and then OK on the first menu, and when it disappears, click APPLY and then OK on the next. That's it! (Please note that you may already have the icon size as large as it can be, and if you do, I don't think it can be made any larger.) B - Click on "Customize" - Scroll down to the end of the menu at the bottom of the page - Check the bottom box and make sure the one directly below it is UNCHECKED. Click APPLY and then OK, and when that page closes, click APPLY and then OK on the next page. =) Sorry! I really don't know of a way to enlarge desktop icons...perhaps if you clicked Start - Search - and entered some keywords such as, "large, enlarge, icons, etc.?"
