  • I've switched to only buying vinyl and using the online services that don't charge anything.
  • I still buy CD's. I can't be bothered with downloading. I'm too impatient.
  • i do both, but i prefer cds. they take up more space, but i dig the album inserts.
  • i download but i also buy CDs when i have money, the sound quality is so much better on CD
  • My music is so hard to get that I get it however I can. I prefer CDs because, if something happens to my harddrive, I do not lose the CD. Sometimes obtaining these CDs is difficult because not all are available in America. Ok, most of them are not. I have purchased it from online services and even found a website that some devoted individual had recorded many vinyl records of Rromani music from the 60's and 70's and offered it for free. I downloaded every song from that website. There are also some groups that no way, no how, not a chance can I get their music other than a few downloadables on their websites, which I do. Yes, I have used Limewire but I prefer to not because I prefer to support Rromani bands financially. I will go to such measures of writing to the band, itself, to find out if there is some way to obtain the music legitimately in America. If I can find a way to pay for the music I do. Of course, there is not terribly much on Limewire of this music. Also, many of these bands are long disbanded. The problem with writing to the bands is 1) can I find the email addresses, 2) does anyone in the band or who managed the band speak English? There are some youtube videos of long-dead or unreachable bands with no internet information that I am going to use a program of mine to burn to mp3. This includes some excellent recordings of street musicians in EU.
  • I prefer my music direct from the CD burned by me. If I cannot find the CD, I scour the web, but will never buy it by the song in digital format. Worst case, I find a video online and record the song from it, tweak the sound in a separate audio program and finally convert it into MP3 for personal use. I will never buy a song from iTunes.
  • I download now . I can make my own cd's with all my fav songs instead of buying a cd with maybe 3 songs I like at the most.
