Menopause is like you are being lead around by the moon or something. A part of you feels like you are 16 and the other part feels like you are 86.The worst part is the not being able to sleep and the slight hot flashes. The most interesting is the heightened interest in sensual matters.And finally the most reassuring is that it is a time in a womens life that will pass and be filed away in ones own personal history.

I would have to say that it varies with many women. Some have a bad time with hot flashes,mood swings and depression. Other women go through it with only symptoms of a change in peroids. I am a nurse and 56 years old. I had awful hot flashes and yyes i had the mood swings also. I felt like pms everyday although I have many nurse friends who didn't even realize they were going through menopause. I know that doesn't help you much but keep a positive attitude and accept it as a cold that will pass and it will be easier for you.
