Office supplies as far as the eye can see, lots of counter space, a heater, comfortable chairs, a sign on the door that says "Keep out". :P

My dream workspace would be paperless. I would have a huge flat screen monitor and an endless supply of flash drives. I would have windows all around. All of the chairs would be ergonomic recliners and all keyboards/mice would either be cordless or we'd have speech activated typing. There would be a refrigerator in the next room, along with a sink and a dishwasher. There would be cubist or realist art on the walls.

Since I live in tropical Southeast Asia I would like my office to be on a fully air-conditioned beachfront property, set very close to the ocean so that when I look out of my floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall window, I see only the endless churning of waves. Like Im on a boat, only the floor doesnt heave. I would like to be able to slide these windows open, and hear nothing but ocean and seagulls... unfortunately there are no seagulls here. If I am lucky, there will be the complaint of monkeys and the haglike caw of the hornbills from the forest fringes :) Two wireless 17" Apple laptops - one back-up, one printer for hard copy (After 50 pages, I stop noticing flaws on soft copy), a powerful sound system for my opera, a coffee maker, one wooden table, one hard chair. One daybed for naps, in-between work. One telephone to call for pizza delivery. And of course, my very own hot/cold water dispensing system. We dont normally drink from taps here, and besides there's usually no hot water from the taps unless you custom order your own.

No telephones. Very comfortable chairs. The music of my choice playing so that it wouldn't disturb others. A lounge area with a bed and a hot tub. A recreation area with some boxing equipment, basketball hoop, weights, pinball machines, etc... A luxurios restroom. A wide screen computer display. A chef to prepare whatever food I would want. A large window. (I have no window now)

I don't particularly care for working in offices, and so I shall morph my dream "workplace" into a dream "darkroom," because I am going to be a photographer. I don't want film to be obsolete. :( There, of course, would be two sections, with two partitions in each. Film and photos. Wet and dry. In between them would be the revolving door, (I love the revolving door!) because even though both are to be dark, when developing film it has to be pitch black; you can have safelights in the photo developing section. It would have a lot of amber-colored safelights, because I prefer them over the red ones. And plenty of enlargers, because then I could multi-task as I please. For the solutions, there would be durable plastic tongs, because the wooden ones pick up the smell and then it gets onto hands, and the metal ones are just bleh... Oh, and they would agitate themselves, if I could make it that way. I would much rather have a mechanism that would do that for me so that I don't have to stand idle and rock the solutions back and forth, back and forth... The film dryer would do it's jo in a couple of minutes, so that I could just develop the film and be straight on my way to enlarging it. Surround sound is a must-have. Music is fun! :D On the outside, would be where I could keep my innumerable amount of cameras, and equipment. I don't really know how I am ever going to be in possession of my own personal darkroom, but it will happen. =)

Either a gorgeous huge kitchen or a fabulous sewing room with a beautiful view. It could simply be a wonderful room in the woods with glass sides and French doors opened to the fresh air. No office for me.
