  • I don't know what to believe. And I don't think anyone can possibly know for sure what happens until they are dead. And they only know then, if there is still consciousness.
  • Well if I'm wrong, what happens really depends on what's right. I'm agnostic, I don't assume the nature nor even the existence of a god or gods. In some religions this would be seen as a rejection and therefore I'd burn for an eternity in hell.
  • The problem with this question is that you assume that if one's religious beliefs are wrong then the opposite must be right. However, the area of religion is much grayer than that. All religions have points on which they agree and points on which they disagree. So, you would have to ask something a bit more specific like, "If (fill in a religion) is right, what will be your fate?" For me, if my religion is wrong, but the Evangelical Christians are right, then I think that I would definitely be going to heaven because I have accepted Jesus as my personal savior and have felt His forgiveness of my sins. On the other hand, if the Hindus are correct, then I am just following my karma and I think that I should still do alright. If the Catholics or Muslims are correct, then I am in trouble because I have not done that which is required by those religions. (I don't really know where I would stand with the Shinto of Buddhist religions.) So, the answer to this question is really dependent more on which religion is right rather than on where my religion is wrong. ************ Dre wrote, “Just curious: why do you categorize Catholics and Muslims in the same category of your answer?” I lump them together simply because each requires certain actions for their respective versions of salvation, actions that I have not taken because I don’t believe either them to be the correct religion. I am not trying to draw any more profound connection between them than that.
  • You have some good points, I hadn't thought about it like that.
  • If I'm wrong, then I'm burning in hell for sure.
  • I'm an atheist, so I guess if I'm wrong I'll be damned forever, or something bad anyway
  • It wouldn't be the first time, but I guess it would be the last!. lol
  • I am of the one and only belief system where I can say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I am right. I'm agnostic. And I'm absolutely positive that I don't know if a god exists, or if there is an afterlife, or anything of the sort. :) The only way I can be wrong is if I DO know about these things.
