Is an accidental overdose of an illegal substance considered accidental death on a life insurance policy?

    Every policy is different. read your policy thoroughly. ask your insurance agent. the key word in your question is....illegal. your insurance company will recognize this as a red flag and may very well deny your claim. again, ask the agent. you may have to settle this in court or be content with a smaller insurance settlement. read your policy.
