It is highly likely your dog has Kennel Cough. Dogs typically catch Kennel cough at dog parks or doggie day care. You should take him to your vet, but be sure to tell your vet when you bring him in the symptoms- because they will likely need to quarantine.

Take him to the Vet. it could easily be Kennel Cough or even just a cough but your pets health and life are much too important to put at risk.

I hope you did take him to the Vet! If he was already given the preventative for KCough...there should be no problem. If not, then he could have caught it. Treatments to prevent and to cure can be either from typical Western Medicine, OR HOMEOPATHIC in nature, which is MY choice for MY dogs. Although they are probably well covered from their puppy vaccines (usually a nasal spray for the kennel cough) and subsequent vaccines for one to two years, I still treat them with a Homeopathic "4 n 1" dose every six months. Usually Titers will show that a dog who received the puppy vaccines STILL carries ENOUGH protective vaccine in their system even as old at 12 to 14 years after receiving NO FURTHER VACCINES. Since Vaccines have proved in random testings to have such ADDITIONAL ingredients such as Mercury, Rat and Human feces, hair, skin and an assortment of other "goodies" in them and also to cause health challenges that range from tumors, to skin and other allergies, behavioral problems, eye problems, and joint problems, and heart, respiratory problems, I've made the decision NOT to continue with yearly vaccines. More and more Vets are now beginning to agree that YEARLY shots are as effective if administered every two to three years instead of every year. And too are willing to administer the vaccines in SINGLE dosages, instead of the typically 4 n 1 vaccine because if the dog or cat DOES have a negative reaction...at least then you know WHICH vaccine the reaction was caused by and can make an informed decision as to if you want to continue giving THAT vaccine the next time around!
