Is the mental state Scientologists describe as "clear" attainable without giving money to the Church of Scientology?

A Clear in Scientology is fairly high on the Scientology scale-and hence, it takes a long time to get to this state. With that said, and knowing Scientology, it would be impossible to become Clear without having to pay money to the Church of Scientology. Nope! You've got to first rid yourself of all drugs, prescription or otherwise, and then buy all of their crazy literature. Then you can be like Tom Cruise... Wait, that's not a good thing to aspire to be.

All mental states are obtainable by anybody. No one has a lock on any mental state. Also, this is something that is totally subjective. No one can show you what "clear" is. You have to approximate what you think they're telling you. You have no way of knowing or comparing whether your clear is the same as theirs.
