  • Give yourself at least a month before dating again.
  • Why wait? He didn't die.
  • Half as long as the time you dated them. That has always been a good rule for me...if i dated someone foe a year, I waited 6 months after the break up before enterig another serious relationship. If you only dated for a month...2 weeks should be good!
  • I usually date right away. In fact, I always date right away. I usually stay way too long in a relationship so by the time I end it I am really ready to move on. But that's just how I do it. You should date whenever you are ready.
  • wait until dinner time, I think it's like eating and going swimming.
  • If you're askin' then you must be ready! Have fun!
  • Well, you broke up with him or did he break up with you? I think that has a lot to do with it...if you are heartbroken over it, wait longer. But if it was your decision, then maybe you will be ready sooner
  • Get on some party clothes, close down AB and get out there!
  • Start going out with your friends tonight, leave just a little space before a real date. Look around for awhile, then jump back in.
  • Yeah, thats a long time to wait! Until this relationship I am in now, I had never had a relationship last more than a year so the rule worked well for me. Good luck getting over it. Just remember..."No man is worth your tears, and the one who is won't make you cry"
  • I don't like to give it a timeline. Because you may or may not be ready by then. The best advice I can give you is to continue living your life, go out and have fun, not with the intention of meeting someone new but just for the fun of it. And if in that time you do happen to meet somone you find interesting, then you can date him.
  • Utill you feel confortable but dont let that stop you from having fun in the mean time and remember a girl doesnt need a man to be complete
  • me and my boyfriend broke up only a week and half ago after a nearly 2year relationship. At first I thought I'd never get over it but I already feel okay, better than okay. And I just went out with mates n stuff and wasn't really looking for a new guy, but I jst got asked out by this fantastic guy and I am a bit orried if people will think its too soon. But in the end of the day if I feel comfortable moving on then I guess its all that matters. Everyone gets over things differently and different speeds so if you feel ready then go for it! x
  • My relationship ended only three days ago. I miss him, but I am more concentrated on my gratitude for having had the opportunity to be in a relationship. I told myself that I would wait at least two weeks. Is that enough time? I don't know, that's what I'm giving myself.
  • Two days
  • your heart will let you know.
  • How long should you wait? wait for what?
  • Why should you wait? Such matters are to be prepared and not only scheduled. Do you get, for instance, your check-list ready ?
  • When I guy to whom you are attracted asks you out. Simple.
  • If you have your eye on someone, go for it. If you're not comfortable with that, wait until you are. There's no reason to stew over something that's done.
  • Well, depends on how comfortable you are being with someone else now. If you are then go for it.
  • I think you should wait awhile, if it's recent. It also depends on whether you dislike your ex or no, and who dumped who. If you dumped him, and are dating someone else within a week, that will make the pain that much harder on your ex (plus it will start rumors that there could've been cheating before hand because it is so quick).
  • I think that you will know when the time comes. Anything in between is just a rebound. When I have been in your situation I would go out with a bunch of people and when someone asked me out I still thought about my ex boyfriend. That happened for awhile with a lot of "rebounds". I knew they were rebounds because I was comparing the men with my ex. Then for some reason I went out with a guy and and all I could think about was that moment with him NOT my ex. From that moment it was as if I stopped thinking of my ex. Although the relationship didn't last-I knew that I was over my ex and over our the emotions that went with being with my ex
  • it depends on how long it takes you to heal, if it was a bad breakup, or a good one. when you are ready you will know.
  • it depends on how bad the relationship was. but if you feel that you need someone that you can trust
  • If you feel your emotions are in check then go soon as you get a chance, but be careful and dont wind up in a rebound relationship, take it easy have fun and good luck !
  • I wait until I am ready to give someone new my full attention. If i'm with them, but my mind is constantly with my past ex, I'm not ready. But if I can be with someone and not have to keep forcing myself to forget, and can just naturally be with someone and be able to begin to develope feelings for them, then to me I'm ready. Basically, when emotionally I want to be out there again, and not for any selfish reasons like using someone to forget, or being with someone just to not feel lonely. The last thing I want to do is have someone begin to fall for me, then have to tell them I've realised I'm not ready yet and hurt them. Some date to forget or for other selfish reasons, but thats not fair to the person your using.....:)
  • That is a stupid question. Go to a bar drive a fast car one day hope to become a rock star Shla On the laa And smoke a little da Search For ur Soul mate Cuz Hell Be daiare Be yourself and enjoy yourself Do what feels right Love Peace And FreedOm
  • it depends on how you take things. If you are easy going and take things lightly you can move on right now but if you are sentimental it will take you a couple of months or years
  • not waiting period...unless you plan on getting back with your ex +5
  • As long as you feel comfortable. +5
