The Janet Evanovich "Stephanie Plum" novels. Fun, funny and easy to read. I also enjoy "The Cat Who..." books by Lillian Jackson Braun.

It usually only takes me an afternoon to read one of Rachel Cain's Weather Warden books. Ill Wind is the first in the series. They're fast paced and action packed with a dash of romance.

Even though I am a serious non-fiction and history person, I like flipping through my Far Side Galleries when I just want to lighten up. Gary Larson is a genius in my mind.
