  • Wesley Snipes says, "Always bet on black." But then again, Wesley Snipes' money did not come from a roulette wheel. The problem with roulette is those pesky little green spaces, 0 and 00. Those two spots are what gives the house its advantage, and they do end up being a pretty large vig for the house. Unlike blackjack where you can use skill and betting strategy to improve your lot, I know of no (non-cheating) way of improving the odds in roulette. One strategy I've heard of is to make a 2 for 1 bet (Odd/Even or Red/Black) and start at $1. If you lose, double your previous wager to $2, then 4, 8, 16, 32, and so on. When you win, you'll win a whole buck! Keep doing this for hours on end, and eventually you'll (allegedly) eek out some sort of profit. The major pitfall to this is, if you have a bad streak, you'll be wagering hundreds of dollars to win $1, and if your losing streak outlasts your bankroll, you're toast. I personally do not recommend this strategy or roulette at all.
  • Heh heh, I actually programmed a similulation where I tried to beat the house by this increasing betting strategy. First you bet one doller and ever time you lose you triple it until you win. Then you start back at one. Unfortunatly, no matter what factor (2x bet, 3x bet etc) or how much money you have the house eventually wins. Check out the my paper I made with this simulation. http://gladstone.uoregon.edu/~niteris/zachs_wager.doc
  • The double down red or black strategy works. It is simple. Pick either red or black and place a bet on that color. If you don't win, double your bet. Continue this until the color hits. The casinos hate this strategy and often ask the player to leave the roulette area or even the casino.
  • This is what is known as a Martingale system, it the casinos LOVE players who try to use them. In theory, under ideal circumstances, this is a fool proof plan. The one thing people dont realize, is the casino never make the circumstances ideal for the player. A martingale system cannot work for one simple reason: Table Limits. Most casinos have thier tables set up something like this: 5-500, 10-500, 25-1000, 50-5000. . If you start out betting the min, you'll be at the table max in 7 or 8 hands. Don't think you can lose 8 hands in a row? Good luck!
  • At first i thought that was a good idea, but remembered two things. One it doesn't work in my case and does not work in real life. I find it hard you have done it and they want to kick you out. i'm not from america and let me tell you. its crap over here 1.minimum bets on 'evens/dozens' are at least $10 so it would cost me alot to do your trick and 2. unlike cards that can be predictable sometimes, each spin in roulette is new and therefore you can't use maths to predict it. last night i was at the casino and i notice that black came out more then 10 times in a row (you seriously gonna tell me you forsaw that) if not it would've cost you alot for you to notice it soon. i'm more interested in better methods then strategies in predicting numbers like is it possible to use evens/dozen and split and street etc, rules altogether to cover the field in the most cost affective way and the win will overcome the losses if its possible you could keep doing it, you will lose alot but the win will make up for it.
  • There are many strategies. All of them produce a loss against an "honest" roulette wheel. No tactic, system, or technique will overcome the house edge that's built into the game. No form of money management will work either. The ball & the wheel have no memory. Therefore, each spin is completely independent of any previous spins. The only strategy should be: play for the fun of it!
  • I have the best roulette strategy of all time. DON'T PLAY!
  • I used to work in a casino as a croupier. I once spun 9 zeros in a row.
  • Only one. Own the casino.
  • As many have said already the house always has the odds on roulette and there is no system yet created to switch them into your favor. Also, there are libraries full of books on theories and progressive wagers for roulette, but my intent is to just add one. This is what I usually play if I try to test my luck. You bet the same amount ($5) on 2 of the 12 number bets (1/3 spots) on the same side of the board. So for example you bet $5 on 1-12 and $5 on 13-24 by doing this you have covered about 63% of the board. You could also bet the columns in much the same way(but do not cross bet). These 1/3 bets pay 2:1 so, using the example above: You have $10 on the board, if the ball lands on 1 you win one bet, you keep your chip and get $10, however, you lose the other so subtract that from the $10 you made and you have gained $5. But if the ball lands on 0, 00, 25-36 you loose $10. Which you should note takes 2 wins to just break even. The odds are still in the favor of the casino. If you stayed and played this for 38 spins and the ball landed on each number 1 time at the end you would be down $20. This method only slows your losses and keeps you playing for a while. It is unlikely that you will ever win at roulette however you never know you could have a good streak, but you could have a bad one too. Variation: The other strategy in these answers, the "Double up to catch up" can be used with this as well but you should be very careful because your bankroll will go a lot faster in a bad streak with 2 bets on the table.
  • If you think about Blackjack. The casinos spend a lot of time and money recognising card counters (even links to other casinos all over the world) because you can beat the casino using card counting. They dont spend a fortune trying to prevent people from using systems to beat the casino at roulette. Why? Because there is no fool proof system. There are systems where you keep increasing your bid, so that when you finally win - you come out up. However even if they did not set limits, you can very quickly get to massive amounts. If you were to bet $10 on your first bet and lost and then doubled your bet for 10 goes - you would now be betting $10,240. If you win - you would walk away $10 up. Douling up another 10 times - betting $10,485,760 and still only to come away with a $10 profit if you win. Now most of us would have gone broke long before then - just trying to make $10. Most schemes dont involve just doubling up - but I used that simple example to show how quickly you move on to really really big money....
  • The only way you can genuinely conceive of making a profit on roulette is if you sit watching a particular wheel for an hour or so and log every number spun to look for discrepancies in the balancing of the wheel. It can often happen that a wheel is not balanced absolutely perfectly so that the ball will roll into one portion (ie. group of 4 or 5 numbers) more often than is statistically probable on a perfectly balanced wheel. If you can observe this over a period of time then by betting on the numbers in the favoured portion of the wheel then you may be able to gain a SMALL edge for a short period of time. Assuming of course that you find after taking notes that the wheel IS in fact unbalanced! Having said all that, the time investment required and the sneakiness you will have to use (since most casinos will frown on you sitting watching for ages with a pen and paper in your hand!) is disproportionate to the small profit you MAY be able to make... the best advice I could give for roulette is to just bet within your limits and treat it as fun!
  • It would be very hard, you'd have to take into account number position, spinneres strenght, number of spins, you're better off not playing.
  • The way I always put it when people ask me this question is just like this: "There is no bet, or sequence of bets, which can yield a long-term profit in roulette."
  • Well if you truly want the best odds - Cheat - If you want to learn how - read the excellent book American Roulette by Richard Markus. I love gambling and gambling crime - the true odds on every bet on a European wheel (single zero) are pretty good, the casino has a 2.63% edge - On a double zero wheel the odds are twice as bad - 5.26% for the casino. I look at it this way: no matter what you bet or how much you bet - you should expect to lose 5% of it on every wager. So if you were betting $100 a spin - in the long run you would lose 5 bucks every single time - win or lose. Pretty much the same goes for Blackjack - these games are designed to grind you down over many years - It's like paying interest on a loan.
  • Try this. Watch several roulette tables at once and jump in only after 4 blacks or 4 reds in a row. If you win on the 5th game great-take your money and walk. If not, keep doubling until to recoup your initial bet. Chances of 8 or 9 of the same color are very very low. Since you are jumping in only after a series of one color-you need to watch several tables at once. You have no reason to believe me but I have never, ever lost using this technique. I was required to bet $2000 after 10 reds in a row-the 11th was black and I recouped my initial bet. Good luck
  • I have a plan called insiders333.The investment per spin is 23 chips. The plan has 19 winning nbrs which gives you a 51.35% chance of a winning nbr which reverses the normal blk or red bet which has a 48.65% chance. The catch is you win less but loose more chips compensated by the fact that you have more big win nbrs than big losing nbrs.ie 9 win nbrs that win 19 chips...another 5 nbrs win 7 chips...another 5 nbrs win 1 chip.4 nbrs you loose big...all 23 chips...9 other nbrs you loose 11 chips and 5 other nbrs you loose 5 chips. My original insiders111 plan has 14 nbrs win 5 chips against 9 nbrs loose 7 chips n 14 nbrs loose 1 chip.Any interest to purchase plans?...pls email me at insiders111@yahoo.com.sg
  • don't bet. seriously. look around the casino, think about how much all that shiny stuff in there costs. then ask yourself how someone could afford to build that? off of people betting. if you enjoy gambling, then do it. if you are trying to return a profit, look into stocks.
  • Wesley Snipes told me to always bet on black.
  • Yes there is. The farther you stay away from it the less money you will lose.
  • There is no system to beat the casino but there are people who bet randomly with no system eg they bet 10 chips per spin but a certain nbr comes out and they recover 8 chips plus their 1 chip...their response oh it's a cover bet.To me this is suicide they are better off putting all 10 chips on splits rather than a cover bet on corner. You have lost before you started on that particular spin for that 1 bet.... hope to lose 1 chip overall or lose entire stake of 10 chips.Have a strategy or plan before you start eg bet 6,7,8, or even 10 chips but put it all on splits ie 1 chip wins 17 chips. My freebie bonus plan is nothing new but systematic and it covers 3 possible basic zones. A-Target zone near zero(european wheel only),B- opposite zero zone or C-dead zone(some call it orphans). The plan is simple guess your choice of zones and look for signature croupiers or trends eg run of blks or reds to bet more. For live croupiers with computer betting ie mass scale acceptance of bets go mainly for dead zone and target zero zone and watch out for signature croupiers especially when they change croupiers when there are big table winners on winning nbrs.I didnt bother previously but I now reduce bets and change my target zones when there is a change of croupiers.I will now share with you my standard plans which cover the basic zones.Zone A put 8 chips on splits 2-3,4-7,12-15, 18-21,19-22,25-26,28-29 and 32-35 or if you want to cover the zero(I prefer to cover zero but watch for trends and be flexible go with 0-3,4-7,9-12,15-18,19-22 26-29,28-31 and 32-35.Zone B with 6 chips on splits on 5-8,10-11,13-16,23-24,27-30 and 33-36.Zone C with 5 chips on splits 1-2,6-9,14-17,20-21,22-25 and 31-34.When I spot a run I dump in more chips on concentrate on my lucky nbrs in that zone or concentrate on more blk or more red nbrs within that zone but never more than at total of 18 chips. In this way when my zone comes up I will be guaranteed to break even or at least make a few chips...if I am lucky... I put at least 3 or 4 chips on 1 or 2 numbers for a return of 105 chips.I even have an extended zone(deluxe plan) plan which uses the same basic nbrs but extends the zone but covering not more than 10 chips.I intend to give out these extended plans as bonus when there is interest in the insiders111 222 or 333 plans which I have featured on this web site as questions or answers.Hope to get a response ...critical or supportive to my various plans.
  • As a follow up comment to my various look for rookie croupier where your zone nbrs come out more often.Unless he is a signature zone specialist I usually alternate between zone A(near zero) and zone B (opposite zero). To me if he is a rookie random croupier I alternate between the 2 zones.Remember the throw alternates between clockwise and anti-clockwise likewise the turn of the wheel is in the opposite direction.to me the chances of the same zone or nbr repeating is better on the alternate throw rather than the next throw. When a table is crowded and hot I keep a sharp lookout for a trend when the croupier seems to be landing near the zero in succesive rounds especially if he is a new dealer. If the zero is lightly covered or not covered at all and the table is heavily loaded with bets I will cover zone A and watch the croupier when he throws. If his throw is slow or gentle I will move strongly with straight up bets on zero and cover nearby nbrs like 26-3-32-35 in order of preference depending on budget.Hope you and the the other readers find my ideas useful.Do feedback your response critical or otherwise(whether you think my ideas are baloney due nbrs are usually random).
  • probably best to place one big bet( $75) on a third and $25 on a single number. eg last 3rd and the number 12 and walk away 125 isnt that bad is it? my advise is dont look at previous numbers, that is what will give u a headache
  • Only if you have the money to loose..start with an initial bet on red. if you loose keep doubling...it is extremely rare that 8 or 9 or one color will pop up in a row, how ever bad streaks do happen. iv done this strategy many times and never lost..i won 500 in 45 minutes once... but i have the money to loose...if you seriously need the money i wouldnt count on suck a strategy with a major flaw like a bad streak...gambling should be fun...dont try to make a house payment off your winings
  • Yes. Speak Russian.
  • There is another system that i know off, where for example you bet $10 on the 1-12 and bet 15$ on 19-36, if the ball lands on 1-12 you make $20 subtract the $15 you lost on 19-36 which gives you a $5 profit and if the ball lands between 19 to 36 you win $15 subtract the $10 you lost on the 1-12 with gives you a profit of $5. But be warned if the ball lands on 13,14,15,16,17 or 18 you loose your entire bet. If the ball lands on 0 you, u get half of the $15 you bet on 19-36 back.
  • If it lands on black this time, theres no chance it will land on black again next time. (and by no chance i mean 50%)
  • I once used a "system" that was, more or less, just common sense. Take a look at the numbers on a wheel. If you take a look at these numbers: 0, 21, 6, 30, 24, 20, and 18 you'll see that they're pretty much evenly spaced around the wheel. That means the ball is going to be close to them on every spin. Of course you can pick any 6, 7, or 8 numbers you want - as long as you space them evenly. Fun and entertaining.
  • Here's my strategy. It works consistently. On a single spin do the following: Bet $2 on any 12 numbers (birthdays etc). Then bet $4 on a 0-00 split. Then take one number and put $20-25 on it (for example #7). Then box that one number by putting $2 on each of the corners of that one number (it's actually putting $18 all around it). By doing this you have a 1 in 2 chance to win your money back (your actually covering 19 of the 36 numbers). This strategy will keep you liquid until the big number hits! Last week I was at the Flamingo in Vegas. I started with $200 and ended with $4k when the 7 came in 3 times in an hour!

  • I work as a manager in a casino. There is no foolproof "system" for winning at any game in a casino. However there are ways of playing that can either decrease or increase your chances of making a profit. With roulette the best (but most boring) way of playing I think is to place a bet on the even chances (red, black, odd even, high or low numbers). If it loses you double the bet and if loses again you double your bet again until you win. Example: you bet £5 on red and it loses. You then bet £10 on red and it loses. You then bet £20 on red and it wins. You then profit by £5 and repeat you bet. The only catch apart from having the money and the balls to keep doubling your bet is tht the casino has a maximum bet that you can place. If the maximum were £1000 you would have eight spins of the ball to win. If you were betting on red and black came in nine times in a row (and it does happen quite often) you would lose £1275!! The other option is cheating but chances are unless you are really good you will be caught. I have caught many cheats.
  • Just one. Bet the minimum. If you lose, leave sad. If you win take the money, leave happier. Long term you'll always lose on roulette.
  • nope there is no winning strategy for this game. however i would reccomend that you stick to the outside bets, they pay lower but hit more often.
  • Yes, No 1 - if at some stage you are lucky enough and have more money than what you had before entering the casino, leave the place! No 2 - if you are losing money, very likely..., stop playing when you reach that level you decided would be your limit for the day. That limit you consider to be the boundary between enjoying playing the roulette, whatever the result, and disaster. No 3 - decide before entering the casino what is your limit, do not decide while playing. No 4 - play a lot without risking your money http://www.deskbell.com/roulette.asp to understand how well and especially how wrong it can go sometimes...
  • 32 and 33
  • avoid the numbers bet the odds-look fo sequences-red occuring more thn 3 times bet black-which third of the table has not recently come up-back it
  • I can make £100 in an hour on penny bets, Use a doubling method, place a low bet on red black, sometimes i use any of the triple win sections. if you loose the bet, place double the ammount on the same spot, keep doubling untill your bet is won, the doubling makes sure once you win your money stays above what you have lost. But be careful the house is still more likely to win than you, cap yourselt at about £4 when using penny bets. start back at 1p you can make the money back in a few bets, instead of doubling to 8,16,32. you only loose money if you get caught up in the game
