Do you believe that everything is chance, or are some things (if not everything) meant to be?

I don't believe that things are pre destined..so I guess I would have to go with chance..things are what they are :)

I will have to go with chance. What would it be that would have meant it? Its amazing what chance can produce.

used no longer do. everything is meant to be the way it is. sometimes it's coincidence sometimes not. Too many coincidences for it not to be real

I think some things are chance, but the relationships and the things that happen in life seem to far-fetched to just happen out of no where. I think some the crappy things and good things in life happen for a reason and things with infinite posibilities are chance.

No I do not think everything happens by chance, even those instances which are hidden from us have a rational explanation. Those things which are meant to be are such because they follow deterministic laws.

Everything is chance otherwise your life would be already written for you instead of you writing your own life as it happens through the choices that you make using your free will.

Look up the interpretation of quantum mechanics called 'many-worlds' and you'll see that everything that happens is nothing but pure luck.

Your life is what you make it, as Sociopathetic said. Even if something like cancer happens by chance, you can learn to react in a way that will help you learn from it. I admint, if you happen to have been born in Iraq and get maimed or killed by a suicide bomber, that'd be pretty hard to learn from (or impossible, in this life, if you're killed, but I believe that life goes on after death).
