You can set up an FTP server, but that is in the same lines as creating a webserver. Depending on your email systems, email is a really good way (keep in mind that different email systems have different email size limits).
-
Try emailing the files to yourself.
-
Use a second email addy and email them to yourself.

As previously mentioned, you could email it to yourself, however, make sure however that you use a webmail based service like Gmail, Hotmail, YAHOO etc... that way you can retrieve it from anywhere. Also, there are a lot of online file storage services that will allow you to share with others as well... here are a few more: http://www.xdrive.com/ (Free up to 5 gb) http://www.box.net/ http://www.mediamax.com/ (Free up to 25 gigs)

The easiest way, completely cheap: Open a Yahoo account, just for that purpose it could be "johndoe_files@yahoo.com" (I mean, your name_files@yahoo.com). You can create folders on that account and divide them by topics. That way you can organize your files according to your needs. Once you e-mail yourself, transfer each e-mail to each folder. Your files will be neatly organized, and Yahoo has unlimited storage capacity.

Well, you can use "yousendit" it's easy to use. and you can use you're same email addy to send to yourself. It's fast and free.
