Help answer this question below.

My water has high levels of ammonia. I added ammonia detoxifier and ammonia reducer, but the water is still cloudy, and the ammonia level is 6-7. How can I fix this?

    make more frequent water changes and keep an eye on the levels more frequently. If your tank is new, dont get alarmed becuase the nitrogen cycle will soon refresh and spikes in ammonia will reduce and convert to nitrate. Ammonia detoxifiers/reducers will not get rid of the ammonia totally, they will mainly make the water less toxic towards the fish, although the ammonia is still present. also try to reduce the amount of food added if you are adding too much..excess waste created by fish greatly contributes to excessive ammonia levels

    i have the same problem! just like the petland manager told me. dont use any chemicals at all, ex ammo lock, accu clear, and all those water conditioners. and u will have a sparkling clear tank within 6 weeks. the only thing u should use is stress coat or aqua plus when making water changes. just remember not to at raw tap water to the tank and then add the stress coat. this is how the chlorine in the water kills off beneficial bacteria. treat the water in a bucket first then add it to the aquarium.
