  • If you provided alcohol or drugs and that lead to the accident or them getting hurt, then it is possible (meaning a lawsuit would no be unheard of) that someone could attempt a claim on your renter's insurance. This has been done with people making claims on homeowner's insurance. I don't much about someone just falling down at their house and suing you. It is usually alcohol or drug related.
  • You will need to check your policy but as Someguy states, if drugs or alcohol is inbibed and you allow someone to leave your house in an intoxicated state and they are injured or injure someone else, you can be sued. I know this because the high Court in SC currently has a case pending which involves this very issue.
