    Vampyre Bat

The movie was filmed during the Great Depression. Also, in the area of Kansas in tornado country, the farms were experiencing top soil erosion and crop failure and financial ruin. The area was called the dust bowl as a result of this disaster. When looking at the characters and their interaction I would say that the political message there was one of class struggle, with the have's vs. the have nots, looking toward the government for some magic answers. I would call that socialist in its ideals.
