Help answer this question below.
I have found meaning in my life. I feel I need to try to help people when I can and know my limitations as to just what I can and cannot do for others. I try hard to treat all people with dignity and try to understand people who are in my life (and others, too)
I inherited a good sense of humor and use it daily to get through the tough times and to just make people laugh.
Many philosophers have studied this subject matter.Probably I found a good treatment in Conversation with God by Walsch. The main idea is that we are here to experiment what we really are, i.e parts of God himself.
What are some basic questions you ask yourself to determine whether you have found meaning in life or not?
Skateboarding. It's so fun, and I'm real good at it.
I dont think anyone's life really has meaning. I think your put on earth to live life to the fullest and have fun doing it. Even the most "important" people are still just people.
You'll feel that your life had meaning, when you left a positive interference in this world and when at the moment of your death you realize it had a positive interference on you. How can you do this?
- Have a talk with friends and family everyday, treat them well and make them laugh (if you can't tell a decent joke, just be friendly and smile)
- Read a good book every week and read a quality newspaper every time you feel like it
-Practice a sport that you enjoy (any sport)
-Give your children a nice education.
-Walk or stroll around a park or on your city
-Have more than one romantic relationship in your life (not at the same time, that only stresses you)
-Work honestly (trade your sweat for gain and don't thrive on the pain of other persons or animals)
-Take a trip to another country every year
-Set goals that are hard yet possible to achieve
-Eat a vegetarian diet (longer life, less animals hurt)
-Ocasionally, visit a museum
-Read books from liberal philosphers
-Contribute to humanitarian aid (wether the cause is war, famine, disease or natural catastrophe)
-Read and live long enough to have a clear view of the world.
-Help the poor.
-Fight no war.
-Help shape a better, more educated generation
-Preserve and clean your share of the city
-Develop no vices.
-Hurt a minimum amount of people and animals through the way
-Throw a party now and then
-From time to time, take a moment of your life to watch the city alive, or gaze at peacefulness of the forest
-Hear good music frequently
All of this is what you need to live a guilt-free, happy and meaningful life. Anyone who can't find meaning or hapiness in life is because it doesn't have the tools to do so (mis-educated,or living in misery).

You're reading What gives your life meaning? And if you haven't found meaning, why is that?
