We celebrate many festivals & we do know that many have derived from Vain & Foolish traditions....But We by No means worship Pagan gods. Infact we understand how the Traditions have come about & we adapt them to fit in with our faith & true God. Example: Winter solstace / Christmas We know that it has been adapted throughout the years & the idea of cutting down a tree & bringing it in side to decorate is FOOLISH! But is it Now CHRISTMAS! a mass to celebrate Christ, & we celebrate trees & its important part in Life & its significance in Gods plan, the lights we see as symbols of Christ being the light of the world & the star also, we give gifts & spend time with our families & friends, we know Jesus was not born then! we just choose to celebrate it with the rest of the Christian world, we read passages from the scriptures & have a nativity parade. Easter / vernal equinox We paint eggs & give chocolate eggs they simbolise new beginings & Life, it teaches children about giving & shareing. & we also reflect upon the Ressurection. Halloween / All hallows eve We teach children that there are no real 'Boggymen or Monsters' But when we die we will meet with our friends & family that have passed on before us into the world of spirits, & that we will all live again in the ressurection. We celebrate Guy Fawks night / Fireworks night here in England This was an attempt to blow up Parliament / 'congress' by a Terrorist! 100s of years ago. We are not Sympathisers of Him or His cause! We Celebrate 'Thanks giving' here with American friends, That does not MAKE us American.
