I'm not a Mormon but believe they are Christians. It's the earthly ministry of their founders that seems to conflict with Christian doctrine, making it seem more a cult than a religion. That's my take on it.

My brother and his family are LDS (Mormons). They said I think they are weird. But they use the KJV Bible and still follow the teachings of Joseph Smith the false prophet. They had just as well go back to the Book Of Mormon instead.
