Why do people believe email forwards like they are classified scientific journals? Haven't they heard of snopes.com?

I always read, check hoax website, then delete. (Then I also tell everyone else it was a hoax if it was.)

Pople are quick to believe because they rarely think to look beyond their own point of view. If individuals would open up to the fact that there is a world beyond their own maybe they wouldn't be so quick to believe every email that crosses their path. I am a skeptic, myself, and question everything. I desire to learn the truth. On some level, though, people in general are way too trusting and not critical enough of the world around them. It's how Nazi Germany was able to thrive. People didn't question; they just accepted what was handed to them and trusted unconditionally. And that can be very dangerous.
