Salvation is a free gift for every man, through Christ Jesus. A gift needs to be accepted. All mankind will be ressurected. 'Salvage' = to save from disposal or destruction. - It is Mormon Doctrine that all men will be saved to a degree. *The question needs clarification.* Im sure in Past times some Saints may have been unaware of some Future events & significance of Joesph Smith & his mission as the Prophet of the restoration. But they will be Judged according to the knowledge they gain in their life time.

Although Joseph Smith is lifted up as a prophet of God, Mormons believe that ALL go to heaven. They believe in 3 levels. They of course would be the only ones with the ability to reach the celestial kingdom where God is, because they have been baptised into the LDS church. I pray that because so many Mormons are honestly looking for the Truth (another name for Jesus), that when God said that those that seek will find will be the result.

Yes, Brigham Young said you must confess Joseph Smith as a prophet of God in order to be saved: ============================================= "The time was when a test of a Christian was his confession of Jesus Christ…This is no test for this generation…This generation, however, is not left without a test. I have taught for thirty years, and still teach, that he that believeth in his heart and confesseth with his mouth that Jesus is the Christ and that Joseph Smith is his Prophet to this generation, is of God; and he that confesseth not that Jesus has come in the flesh and sent Joseph Smith with the fulness of the Gospel to this generation, is not of God, but is antichrist." No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith. heaven forbid...I wonder if Mohammed requires one to accept him as a prophet in order for HOPE of Salvation? I thought(let me rephrase, I know) we had to accept the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.... what is this world comin to?

Yes and no! If you are referring to the salvation in the Celestial Kingdom, the answer is yes, we must accept Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith as his Prophet to enter that kingdom. However many will be saved in two other kingdoms without having to accept Joseph Smith at all. If you have any complaints, take it up with the Lord. Joseph Smith was either God's Prophet that restored His true Church back to the earth again, or he wasn't. If Joseph smith was a true Prophet of God, so was Brigham Young, plain and simple...Whew4
