You do apparently. You always like to stop in and make it known that you could care less about that person. Personally, I think it's nice to congratulate others here in the AB community. I've made friends here.
-
I don't. I like to make other people feel good!
-
I don't. Most of the questions asked in that regard congratulate people that are well-respected and have earned their badge, degree or whatever. My only suggestion is that we keep those questions special, and use them when they really mean something. Sure, anyone can congratulate anyone on whatever they choose, but if we do it all the time for whatever reason, it just loses significance, just my opinion.

I do. Some say points/ratings don't matter because that's not why we are "here" for, yet we are congratulated for the points. It's just pixels!
-
I suppose it's no worse than congratulating yourself. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/359823

I love to share in someones moment...kind of like sending a hug their way.
-
I don't think it's stupid at all! We develop a comraderie here, and it's nice to celebrate each others' achievements.
-
i dont at all! if they did that they do need a congratulations
-
I like them. I just don't like people who just answer or ask them for points.
-
does'nt bother me 'paying a compliment or a congratulations makes people feel good'
-
insipid, and point begging not very subtly
-
I t doesn't bother me. It should be genuine and not for the points;)
-
Sometimes I miss them entirely, but if I catch them, I don't mind participating.
-
I think they are good when people hit higher levels or on special days... You know alot of questions are just conversational in nature but there are really people who start using this site when they google a real question and those of us who check in on a regular basis help them out with an issue in their life. It may be a question about homework, finance, medical, electronic but we can make a small impact on their life. Giving CUDOS when someone has reach a high level is a good thing, they probably have help several or a lot of people over a few years!

I've been one that was congratulated, and it was the first time in my life that I was congratulated for anything, stupid, but it meant, and means the world to me.
-
They don't bother me at all.
-
Nope, I think they deserve recognition, after all most of those that are at higher levels are the ones that contributed alot to AB and made it what it is now! Way to go all you high ranking ABer's.
-
No. I'm very happy to congratulate them on their accomplishment.
-
Yes. At first I participated, but now it just seems pointless (pun intended)
-
You are at level 29..by the time you get to guru and those upper levels you will be disappointed if someone doesn't congratulate you. It makes you feel like someone appreciates you for all your hard work and it takes a LOT of hard work to get there..just you wait and see.
-
No... not really...
-
Kind of
-
Nah. I think it's a nice community-building exercise.
-
Nope :)
-
i think they're silly cause the person doing the congratulating is the one getting all the points.. hows that really congratulating the user that just leveled-up ya know?
