  • Yes. God the Father = Elohim. Jesus we believe existied with Elohim. We believe that all things were created spiritually before they were created physically. Jesus was the first Child of God that was created spiritually or we would say "first born spirit child of God" We believe that we were also created spiritually before we were created on this earth with a physically body and that we too lived with Elohim. When Elohim had Jesus/Jehovah create our earth he became the God of this earth and was known unto the prophets as Jehova. Jehovah told the prophets of old that he was they only God of this world or(earth) that ever existed. Jehovoh or Jesus Christ created the earth as the N.T. explains. Jehovah is the Word that was with God in the begining (John chapter 1). Jehovah was God of this earth who spoke with the prophets of old. Elohim created all things on this earth by Jesus Christ (Jehovah). Jehova was then born into the world and named Jesus. (God With Us) Mormons worship God the Father (Elohim) by following His son Jesus who became Christ our Savior and who was also Jehovah of the Old Testiment. He was born into the world with a human body to shows us the way and also to be our Savior. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can return to our Father in Heaven (Elohim) We Worship God (Elohim) through His son. Jesus is our Lord because we try to follow Him in all things. He said if we follow Him we would also recieve the Father. Mormons believe that each of us are spiritual sons and daughters of God. That God had a plan for us to come to an earth created by his Son. That his son would be the God of this earth (Jehova) as well as Jesus the Savior when he was born into the world. Mormons believe that we are trying to return unto Elohim who is the father of our spirits. Jesus Christ or Jehova can also be our Father in that it is through Him that we are reborn in the spirit (Born Again as many would say) We are then born into the family of Abrahm and become the Sons and daughters of God. But as the good scriptures say over and over again, Jehova or Jesus Christ has a Father (Elohim) to whom He cried out on the cross to whom He followed every command. He taught us to follow His father. This is what we teach and what we try to do. Love to all

  • That really depends on what you mean by "separate gods". We believe they are separate "individuals" and that they are thus "individual" gods, but we do not believe that they operate individually or that they have separate authorities, messages, or powers. http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=bbd508f54922d010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&index=7&sourceId=29ec2f2324d98010VgnVCM1000004d82620a____
  • kind of irrelevent, but Jehovah is actually a mistranslation/combination of two Hebrew names - Elohah (the singular(?) form of Elohim) and the tetragrammaton JHVH, which shall not be pronounced (if you are Jewish). they took the vowels of Elohah (eoa) and stuck them into the tetragrammaton... thus we have Jehovah! yes... somewhat off topic...
