Have you ever had someone in your life who picked a fight for a reason that was clearly bogus? You knew it, he/she knew it? Did you ever find out what the underlying, actual motive was?

I hope that some kids will pick a fight just to fight, If not I will pick a fight just to have a fight.

I think most people do it, in romantic relationships, friendships. When people have issues that need to be dealt with, but don't have to proper tools to do so, you get petty little fights that are knock down, drag out, about whether you're going to eat chicken or beef, or whether you can borrow the shoes or not, etc.

I think some people have a hard time ending a friendship or relationship. They purposely do things to provoke the other person. In turn the person gets angry and then ultimately ends the association.

I think some men are like that. They don't want to be the one to break up with the woman so they just push the necessary buttons to launch things into motion.

It reminds me of the people that lunge at police officers so they get shot and killed. They would like to die but they just don't have the "stones" to do it and this is the next best thing.

Sure Have. A girl that I once worked with, tried to instigate a fight between me and her boyfriend because as she said later, she only wanted to see what the outcome would be. The fight never came off because he and I just weren't interested in fighting for no good reason.
