Child's mind: "Yes" Grown up's mind: "Absolutely not!" So many kids have broken bones from playing on them. Of course, there are chances of many things happening when you take risks. I'm very in between about trampolines. Personally, I would not get one for my children, because i'd choose to keep them safe. Are they... Pricey: Depending how big, i'd say it is kind of redicilous but you're probably better to go with a pool, though you'd have to be there watching if they are younger children, as you should with a trampoline. Safe: NO Do they...Ruin grass: If that is a huge concern, then yes they do ruin grass, especially over the years.

I think so, but I should admit that I have a bias towards trampolining in general, having trampolined for years and won several awards. In fact, I just bought a new trampoline after not owning one for a while. There are lots of different types of trampolines targeted to people of different ages, abilities and so on...thus it's impossible to generalise realistically. You can get small trampolines designed for working out primarily, they're about 3 foot across and cost around £10 to £15. It's a fun way to exercise and you haven't lost much if you don't use it. However, they don't have much rebound, so you won't be jumping high or doing any seat drops. Also, a kid won't thank you for buying them one of these, they are designed for adults. Then you can get trampolines designed specifically for children. They come in different sizes and cost anywhere from £20 to £50. Some of these trampolines have handle bars designed for small children to hold onto and balance...thus they're pretty safe and a fun way for kids to burn some energy and keep fit. You can also put them inside the house or outdoors, so that's a plus. Then we get to the more ''serious'' trampolines, which you can use for training. You get great rebound and can jump high, practice different moves and spread about a bit. These can cost hundreds of pounds. Is it worth it? Well, it depends on the people using it I think. Will it be used regularly and is it *wanted* or will it just be left in the garden to take up space? If it's going to get some use or the people using it are training for competitions or into trampolining in a big way, then yes, it's worth every penny. Safety is a big issue that you need to think about, there are so many accidents from trampolines, but then again...there are with most sports. If you get a net to place around the trampoline, then that eliminates most of the risk, but it's important to get one that fits properly. And when children are using the trampoline, adult supervision is a must. And the grass...well. You can always plant more seeds or move the equipment around a bit to avoid it becoming too patchy.

My kids use it daily, sometimes just to lounge on, talk with friends, on just bounce out their frustrations or have fun.

I bought one for my granddaughter with a net that goes around the whole thing. I still stay there to supervise and get on with her too ! She has had the best time. Great fun and excerise. Worth every penny! Yes it ruins the grass but you know what ? It is worth it:)

It depends. I am guessing it’s for your kids. if it is, then safety is the main factor. Here are some questions you have to consider about safety. Does it have a net? is it recommended for its safety? is it pretty stable? you also should consider what its purpose is. Here is another question. is it for recreational uses or for training or athletics? And lastly can you afford it? and will it be something that will last? Everything I listed here is wat should influence your answer. Also u culd talk to a sales person that specializes in trampolines. As a tween myself, I find trampolines AWESOME!!!!!! They are fun and you can do numerous things on them and play numerous games. I hope I helped.
