• Paper is a medium we write on and has been a means of expression for a long time. It is has become a symbol of how to express our thoughts and feelings. For a piece of writing paper, it starts off blank with nothing on it until we start writing on it. Similarly to our lives, we start off blank and through our experiences and through learning, we write the pages of our lives.
  Seeing your faults, frustrations, and problems on paper then crumpling them up let’s you visualize yourself removing these issues from your life. However, as you do so, you must also visualize or tell yourself that you will find methods to do so, even if they are not obvious at that time. As you continue to do this exercise, you will eventually find the solutions as you as subconsciously searching for solutions by doing this regularly.

• For improving your life and relieving stress, a similar exercise is also helpful. Sit comfortably at a clean desk or table with a piece of blank white paper in front of you. Crumple the paper in front of you while visualizing that you are crumpling your stress into the paper. Open up the paper, take a slow deep breath, visualize you are inhaling clean blue colored air filled with energy. Exhale smoothly, while smoothing out the wrinkles in the paper, brushing off your problems and issues from the sheet. You should visualize your spent breath being gray or red and you are breathing out used energy. Repeat for a few minutes and you should feel better, more energetic, and even more motivated to get something done.

• Colors we associate with heat and we can see it in car exhaust fumes so an easy to see the similarity. Car exhaust and smoke is gray and associated with burnt oxygen or spent energy.
  Blue is a cool color and therefore can be imagined to be refreshing.

• I learned it about 30 years ago, as part of a meditation program when I was taking Chinese martial arts. I'm sorry to say, I don't remember the name. We did it in preparation to clear our minds of everyday problems so that we would not get hurt and be able to concentrate on what we were about to do. The meditation itself had no direct connection to the martial art.

• When I'm really busy and in a panic and things don't get done. This seems to be the best way to press reset to sort things out. I'm sure many people don't need to do this meditation but if you are at wits end on what to do to do anything, this might help.
