tell me the "pet" names and I will let you know.

mildly innappropriate, yes. but hey, fonzie called jonie shortcake, which was weird, but acceptable... right? but it would be nice to know the pet names.

I use to work with this guy...10 years younger than myself and I would call him my Big Poppa and he would call me several different names....everyone would laugh at us including his wife and my husband. It was all very innocent.

It's hard for me to laugh. My hubby and I had been separated and he ended up living with this girl and her parents (he's 31, she's 19) and their relationship has supposedly been "platonic." She has a fiance who is not around, but I see her as much too comfy around my husband. He has moved back in with me and we are trying to work things out, but in the meantime, she has worn at least one of his shirts (is that not like the sexiest thing a woman can wear?), had pictures on his cell of them snuggling, and they would snuggle on the couch watching TV. She calls him "Chaddy-bear" and he calls her "kitten." Supposedly I am supposed to be reassured that he is with me and this is how she is "with all her guy friends."

As long as the relationship is appropriate, then nicknames are fine. My friends and I have nicknames for each other at the gym and it's all in good fun. They started because we didn't actually know each others' real names when we met (like on here).

Depends on the pet names and the relationship. I have nick names for all of my male friends and Jay had some for his female friends. Most were very silly. My one friend is Libral or BooBoo (He calls me Nacy or Mrs. Regan), one's Mikey, and one's Greggers. He calls his Tiffy (she called him Big Brother J) and one was Puddin' cause she ate it as a diet once. And they are all strictly platonic and we go over no limits ever. Now if the names are flirtacious or they touch and flirt in an inappropreate way you've got problems.
