When signing up for google adsense, is it better to set up a new google account primarily for adsense, or is it ok to just use my current google account? Will there be too much clutter?

Definitely use your existing google account. It will be WWWAAAAYYY easier. I have tons of google apps on my one account, and it is way easier this way. Plus, you can connect your adsense to your web analytics.
